I have lived in Bellingham since 2000. It is a lovely, funky little town. We have an abundance of coffee shops, interesting restaurants and unbelievable natural wonders.
Here some of my favorite things and places in Bellingham/Whatcom County.
Coffee Shops | Avellino, Lettered Streets, Flatiron & Boulevard Woods Coffee
Try a hand-shaven chocolate mocha or homemade chai @ Avellino. They also have gluten-free baked items that they make in the store.
Restaurants | Pepper Sisters, Black Pearl, Scotty Browns, La Fiamma
Thai Food | On Rice
The best, hands down.
Dessert | Pure Bliss
Village | Barkley Village
I spend a lot of time in Barkley Village, all the good stuff is here.
Hair Salon | Studio Galactica
It's a funky rock-n-roll beauty parlor. I see Mandy, owner & stylist. She's the best.
Massage | Cascadia Center for Massage
Spa | The Chrysallis
Graphic Design & Branding | FLIR Creative
Photographers | Evantide Photography, Josh Durias Photography
Meg from Evantide and I led YL together in college, Meg & Aaron are amazing. Josh is a very gifted photographer as well!
Church | Cornwall Church
I've been @ Cornwall for about 12 years now. I was on staff for a few years in college. The heart of the pastors, staff and elders are to alter the spiritual landscape of Whatcom County. The teaching is biblical, applicable and relevant. It's an amazing, honest community of people seeking and following Christ.
Farmer's Market | Bellingham Farmer's Market
Favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings.
Bookstore | Village Books
Parks | Boulevard Park, Zuanich Park
Trails | Railroad & Klipsun, Whatcom Falls
